Hope everyone is having a fun and safe holiday. In the spirit of the day we thought it would be good to honor a Patriot and Champion of the MMA world, Brian Stann. Brian is currently the WEC's Lightheavyweight champion and is finishing up his service in the USMC. Following his deployment to Iraq in 2005 he recieved the Silver Star, which is one of our nations highest honors for valor in combat. He is stationed at Camp Lejuene along with Luke's best friend Ryan Nungesser, hopefully Nunny can come through with an interview in the near future. Brian was also a teammate of our friend J.P. Blecksmith, who played football at the Naval Academy and was killed in Iraq on November 11, 2004. In light of that fact, take a moment to checkout JP's memorial website and make a donation. The Bushwhackers will be running in his memorial 5K this morning.
