Randy's Back! Fighting Brock Lesnar at UFC 91

As expected Dana White announced on a midday conference call that Randy Couture has a new agreement with the UFC and will fight Brock Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight belt. White also confirmed that the winner of an upcoming fight between interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir will meet the Couture vs. Lesnar winner sometime in 2009 to unify the titles. Of course Dana did curse during the conference call saying "All I give a [expletive] about is that he's back and fighting"

To a certain extent, I can;t believe the UFC is putting Lesnar to this kind of test so early in his career, but I'm extremely fired up to see it. It will obviously be a MASSIVE payday for the UFC and in reality, a loss to Couture in only his 3rd pro match is nothing to be concerned about (even though he would drop to 1-2) and a win would make him a mega-star overnight. Genius.

you are correct...UFC is putting on this show to get 1 million plus PPV buys. Randy will make 3 million if they reach 1 million PPV buys
