Japanese MMA in Trouble

Just as rumors begin to swirl about the viability of DREAM and World Victory Road, there is an article from the that says that fighters are not even getting paid for the fights they are in! If true, it sounds like the UFC may be picking the right time to enter the Japanese market. However, it seems to me that that it is possible the fad of Japanese MMA could have come and gone. Both of those organizations are full of Japanese stars, so it is hard for me to believe that if they are in fact filling the stadiums legitimately that they would not make money. The problem with MMA and even Boxing is that gate sales can be manipulated easily, so it is difficult to really gauge the real interest in the event.
